The pollen app tip is no joke. I downloaded IQAir and started checking it every morning before deciding whether to run outdoors or use the treadmill. Combined with starting Flonase two weeks before my usual bad period in March, this year was noticeably better even without immunotherapy. Still planning to pursue shots eventually, but just this behavioral shift made a real difference in the short term.

I'm 14 months into allergy shots and honestly the first year wasn't dramatically different — my allergist told me that's normal and the bigger changes usually show in year two and three. I did have slightly less severe peak-week symptoms this spring compared to last, but I was expecting more by now. Still committed to the protocol, but going in with realistic timelines would have helped — this is not a quick fix, and I say that as someone who believes in the process.
