    I did everything right — DASH diet, daily walks, lost 14 lbs over five months. My BP came down from 152/94 to 141/88. Better, but my doctor said that's still Stage 2 and she wanted to start a low-dose ACE inhibitor. I was disappointed that lifestyle alone didn't get me to goal, but she explained that some people have a genetic component that diet and exercise can only do so much for.
